Like all great stories, Veetee’s begins with love. Young Moni Varma arrived in Malawi with his new wife to build a career in steel, determined to succeed as a civil engineer. When his wife longed for life back in the UK, an ultimatum followed. In 1987, Veetee Rice was born in a small two-silo mill in Perivale, London, inspired by Indian rice farms and a bold ambition to bring the world’s finest rice to British homes.
